Hayley’s Inspiration came from a local archaeology dig of an old ridgeway where a buried horse was found which could have belonged to a person of importance, the kings horse maybe?

Off they went to the butcher and here they are zooming back, dog holding the bone, no room in the basket for it, but also a pretaste of the lickchew bliss to come. Stainless steel with heat patinated stainless steel

The sunset surfer is hand fabricated from stainless steel. To make the sinuous wave shape more interesting, it is heavily textured with grooves and scuffs and then heat patinated. The heat patination process creates metallic oxides on the surface of the metal. Stainless steel, like iron, creates several oxides, where it combines with increasing numbers of oxygen atoms, to give straw, magenta, blue and red colours. These colours occur because the oxide thickness is the same as the light wavelength of the particular spectrum colour.
This colouration is permanent and can survive outdoors but DO NOT RUB OR USE ANY CLEANING agents as it is only a molecule thick. The deep grooving makes different thicknesses in the metal which encourages the temperature differences to get the variety of colours.

Rose Inspired by the oldest evidence of the rose from legends and poetry in Ancient Greece, where they dedicated the rose to the gods. One rose legend which particularly inspired me was around Flora, the Goddess of Spring and Flowers.

The telltales are all identical so the wind acts uniformly on them, thereby helping to reveal a clear depiction of the wind’s movement. Support structure is kept to a minimum not only to allow the wind unencumbered access but also to focus the viewer’s attention on the beauty of the wind rather than the appearance of the object. Rich Bindon on the story behind the sculpture: “I grew up on a smallholding in Wootton Bassett and spent most of my youth exploring local fields and woodland with my friends; building dens and tree houses, we would often see barn owl’s in the early evening patrolling the hedges and fields, along with tawny owls.
Male Barn Owls would sometimes screech whilst we explored woodland and as kids, it used to terrify us!
I have passed on my love for Owls to my daughter Madi – She has been to the Hawk Conservancy in Andover many times and has participated in the owl experiences on offer.”
