“Legend of the Lough was inspired by a commission I received from the arts council under the Re-Imaging Arts Program. The sculpture celebrates the original folktale of the creation of Lough Neagh, where a Horse God of the Tuatha de Danann Eochu let his horse rest in a valley in the middle of Ulster. The horse, which was a magical horse of the sea(think of the Guinness ad from the 90s) , proceeded to dissolve and flood the valley.” – Eamonn Higgins
