I wanted the sculpture to show a more human, compassionate side to the Minotaur. I wanted to
get away from the mad, bad, insane monster condemned to the labyrinth.
This is the Minotaur when he is young man, with all the confidence and pride of youth. He’s
content with himself and the way he looks. He doesn’t care what other people think.
