The INTERCIDERE series
The sculptures in this series all feature a ball held between 2 of 3 vertical shafts of stainless steel.
Gravity demands it continue on a downward path but the stainless steel walls make that journey
impossible. The prevent it sliding deeper. It can go no further. So it remains suspended between
them. This creates a dichotomy between the gravitational force and the limitation of space. The
ball is unable to slide to the base, but nor can it rise back up again.
