600 H x 250 x 150mm on 1.5m copper tube – (1.8m overall once in situ)
bronze resin and steel ladder
This sculpture is suitable for external use and is cast in bronze resin mounted on a welded steel ladder which in turn is then fitted on a 1.5m copper tube. The complete piece including tube is then given two coats of clear protective lacquer.
My work here portrays an artisan involved in the rescue of his much loved feline friend. Like most of my sculptures in this range he can be mounted within the foliage of the garden or as a stand alone piece.

Inspired by the Scottish rams (tups) when I lived in the rolling countryside near Dumfries in Scotland. He has a cheeky glint in his eye even though his stance is seemingly aggressive , there is a sense of uncertainty and ridiculousness that brings a smile to everyone’s face when they see him.

These girls are a contemporary interpretation of The Three Graces in Greek mythology. The ancient Three Graces have been represented in painting and sculpture as the embodiment of joy, radiance and blossoming. The Miss Graces I have created here also embody these attributes but in a self confident, powerful and challenging way, that is more akin to the attitudes and aspirations of many women in the present day.
