    Mardi Gras, a symbol of celebration, It is a celebration of nature
    and the joy of the changing of the seasons. It is with each change
    of season we have the beauty of the change in leaf colour in
    autumn and the promise of new beginnings with new growth in
    spring. Made of basalt ceramic and a fusion of steel and resin is 2 x
    life size.

    “Most recently I have been concentrating on a series of head
    sculptures, inspired by nature and from my travels.
    This sculpture is to represent a spiritual being which is watching
    over us all and the earth. This soulful guardian is 4 x life size and
    will make a statement in any garden.
    Oshun derives from Africa and the Yoruba religion, and is the
    goddess of love, fertility, prosperity, and water. Which is a sign of
    purity and beauty.”     – Angela Farquharson

    You can see in some of the images below that Oshun has a rustier patination. It has now taken on its own natural patina which mellows in with the garden over time and gives the sculpture character.
