    This lively contemporary sculpture captures the joyful movement of  children playing. Created from layered steel silhouettes in graduated shades of blue, the repeated outlines trace the arc of the body through space, transforming a fleeting moment of motion into a dynamic, sculptural form.

    As the viewer moves around the piece, the overlapping layers shift and align, creating a sense of rhythm and energy. The work celebrates the carefree exuberance of childhood — that spontaneous urge to run, tumble and play.

    With its playful spirit and striking use of colour and form, Passing Us By is a vibrant tribute to movement, freedom and the simple delight of being in motion.

    This heart-warming sculpture captures a tender moment between a mother and her child as they prepare to go swimming. The child stands at the front, arms stretched wide with excitement, goggles on and ready for the water, while the mother stands just behind, steadying and encouraging with a gentle, protective presence.

    Their simple swimsuits and caps evoke the nostalgia of seaside holidays and childhood swimming lessons. The piece beautifully reflects the quiet reassurance of a parent and the trust of a child taking a brave step forward.

    “I create ceramic sculptures that explore the quiet intensity of human connection — with animals, myth, and the inner self. My figures often wear animal masks or appear entwined with animals, suggesting companionship, instinct, and transformation. Through texture and gesture, I aim to evoke stillness, emotion, and the sense of a story quietly remembered.

    I make these pots in the hope that they will become keepers of family stories , love notes , silly jokes, memories and superstitions and that they in turn become a well loved treasure.” – Jane Flint

    Sitting quietly atop a weathered pot, Birdie captures a gentle moment of contemplation. The small figure, with the head of a bird and the body of a human, sits cross-legged holding a book, as though pausing to reflect on the words within.

    The contrast between the delicate human form and the watchful bird head gives the sculpture a whimsical, storybook quality. With its softly aged textures and calm, thoughtful pose, Birdie evokes curiosity, imagination and the quiet wisdom found in moments of reflection.

    Quietly confident and full of character, Brock blends human presence with the unmistakable markings of a badger. With arms folded calmly across her chest, the figure stands with a gentle sense of self-possession, her expression thoughtful and watchful.

    The worn textures of the clothing and softly aged surface give the sculpture a timeless, almost folkloric atmosphere, as though the figure belongs to an old woodland tale.
