Tiltyard Lady
A Bronze cast from an original Wood carving from a much loved but very rotten Monterey Pine that fell in the peaceful Tiltyard of Dartington Hall Gardens, Devon.
The rotten area was left as part of the story of this iconic tree.

About the Artist
-‘ A lifelong passion for art and sculpture together with his practical nature led Joseph to take up an apprenticeship in stone masonry. Joe trained as a stone mason at York College where he learnt the craft to an advanced level. This gave him the ability to create striking stone pieces in marble and limestone. Joe also produces bronze sculpture using the ancient lost wax technique. Josephs studio is based in Pateley Bridge near Harrogate North Yorkshire.’

Paul has sold work all over the world, as well as to the Royal family, and has exhibited at Chelsea flower show on many occasions, his studio is set in the middle of the Hampshire countryside on the edge of a half acre pond , which over the past fourteen years he has with his wife turned into a small nature reserve, which in turn has encouraged many of the birds he sculpts to show themselves in their true and natural light.
