  • Quiet Vessel I by Andrew Flint – £1,200

Quiet Vessel I by Andrew Flint – £1,200

    Ceramic vase

    60cm Tall

Part one in Flint’s Quiet Vessel series

“My ceramic work develops through a series of related forms rather than individual pieces. Each series begins with a simple structural idea that I explore through repetition and variation, allowing the forms to evolve gradually as I work.

The pieces are primarily hand-built, a process that leaves subtle traces of making and allows the form to grow intuitively rather than being fixed at the outset. This slower approach gives space for small shifts in proportion, balance, and surface to emerge from piece to piece.

Alongside the development of form, I work closely with glaze. Each series tends to have its own palette, developed through testing and refinement until the surface feels integral to the form. Glaze is not applied as decoration but as part of the language of the work, responding to the geometry and structure of each piece.

The works exhibited at The Cotswold Sculpture Park come from three different series. While distinct in form and surface, they share a common approach: an exploration of repetition, variation, and the dialogue between clay, structure, and glaze.” – Andrew Flint

  • Grace II by Tara Davidson – £770

Grace II by Tara Davidson – £770

    Stoneware

    Gourd: 60cm tall

    Plinth: 29cm H x 41cm W

    Plinth included in the price

“I am a potter and sculptor working with stoneware and sculptural crank to create unique, one-of-a-kind pieces.

I am fascinated by form and texture, and by the way a surface comes alive after firing.

These forms evolve organically during the making process and are designed to withstand sunshine and rain—to be strong and resilient, just as I aspire to be.” – Tara Davidson

Celebrating the beauty of the everyday, Grace I takes inspiration from the familiar silhouette of a gourd, elevating it into a refined sculptural presence. Its gently undulating curves and elongated proportions give the piece a quiet elegance, while retaining a sense of natural growth and organic rhythm.

The surface is richly textured, echoing the subtle ridges and variations found in nature, and finished in warm, earthy tones that complement its surroundings. Set upon a simple steel plinth, the sculpture gains a sense of balance and prominence, allowing its form to be appreciated from all angles.

  • Birdie by Jane Flint – £1,250

Birdie by Jane Flint – £1,250

    Stoneware ceramic

    60cm H x 34cm D x 34cm W

Part of the Story Keepers series

“I create ceramic sculptures that explore the quiet intensity of human connection — with animals, myth, and the inner self. My figures often wear animal masks or appear entwined with animals, suggesting companionship, instinct, and transformation. Through texture and gesture, I aim to evoke stillness, emotion, and the sense of a story quietly remembered.

I make these pots in the hope that they will become keepers of family stories , love notes , silly jokes, memories and superstitions and that they in turn become a well loved treasure.” – Jane Flint

Sitting quietly atop a weathered pot, Birdie captures a gentle moment of contemplation. The small figure, with the head of a bird and the body of a human, sits cross-legged holding a book, as though pausing to reflect on the words within.

The contrast between the delicate human form and the watchful bird head gives the sculpture a whimsical, storybook quality. With its softly aged textures and calm, thoughtful pose, Birdie evokes curiosity, imagination and the quiet wisdom found in moments of reflection.
