“This piece in inspired by the wealth of Neolithic and Bronze Age archaeology within the Dorset landscape where I live. The incredible monuments and burial mounds have stood the test of time and still survive today.This female figure is emerging from a standing stone. She stands upon a Bronze Age burial mound and carries an offering in a Beaker style pot. The sun burst across her chest symbolises the solstice movements of the sun, which were highly important within the ceremonial landscape at that time.” – Brendon Murless
