This figure represents one of the mysterious Tree Elves, beautiful creatures that live deep in the forests and woodlands around us. This particular tree elf was named after a fictional character from Tolkien’s Desolation of Smaug. Tauriel is a Woodland Elf whose name has been translated as “Daughter of the forest”.
Although many people doubt they really exist nowadays, tree elves also represent and safeguard the strong bond between women and nature, giving birth to new live, nurturing life and bringing fertility and prosperity. They are indispensable for a healthy and vital nature.
