My figures often wear animal masks or appear entwined with animals, suggesting companionship, instinct, and transformation. Sitting quietly atop a weathered pot, Birdie captures a gentle moment of contemplation. The small figure, with the head of a bird and the body of a human, sits cross-legged holding a book, as though pausing to reflect on the words within.

The contrast between the delicate human form and the watchful bird head gives the sculpture a whimsical, storybook quality. With its softly aged textures and calm, thoughtful pose, Birdie evokes curiosity, imagination and the quiet wisdom found in moments of reflection.
