Material – Red Cedar, English Oak and stainless
Size – L 320cm x W 63cm x H 80cm
‘Slow wave’ began with the simplest of lines drawn in the sand on a beach walk many
years ago. The textures left by the sea as it reaches the shoreline create beautiful
undulations of peak and troughs, highlights and shadows. The lines of my bench travel
from concave to convex over the length offering comfort to the sitters or viewer whilst
the Oak legs ‘anchor’ the piece to the ground giving the bench an animal like quality.
