Mounted to a fixed hardwood Oroco post.
This centrepiece was inspired by one of my favourite views near to the stone quarries on the Purbeck Ridge looking through the valley to Corfe Castle. It is a study in miniature of Romanesque/ Classical masonry detailing incorporating a textured coursed Ashlar wall with lined out joints. The semi-circular arched window opening with a view depicting the ruins of Corfe Castle. Typical period detailing of the rope work border and scrolled floral motifs.
