The story behind the piece:
This glass rondel has been designed and created by Ian Godfrey and Gail Boothman at their Galiani Studio in the heart of Dorset. With multiple layers of glass and colour the sculpture presents a perception of depth along with the aura of the ocean colours within each layer.
Mounted in a steel frame, secured to the ground and with the glass laminated for safety, this piece will revel in the tones of the day and provide an area below for planting or simply mounted within any location in the garden. Oceana will illuminate during sunlight and show movement through the glass under shade and light. Oceana reflects the colours of the oceans across the planet giving a beautiful sense of the organic beauty of the seas.
