About the sculpture Small Grazing Head – The very first sculpture I ever produced in October 2017, Inspired by lazy days sat with my horses while they were grazing the grass around me. I have always found this time so special to be at one with my horses while they ate grazing, I find an instant calmness with them in this busy world, listening to them eat the grass – One of my most favourite past times.

About Chloe – Chloe is a sculpture artist based in the heart of the Cotswolds. She specialises in equine sculptures but can produce other animal if requested in bronze using the lost wax method. Chloe originally trained as a digital artist in 2012 and work as freelance digital sculptor until recently venturing into the world of traditional sculpture. “The transition from digital to traditional sculpture felt like a step backwards in time, but has proved to be a massive leap forward in my goals and dreams” Chloe has a passion for horses, which you can see in her sculpture work, both digital and traditional. When Chloe isn’t busy in the studio she is usually found in the stables where she works for an event rider, caring for 3 horses. “I honestly feel like the luckiest girl alive, I love sculpture and horses and I literally spend all my days doing both – So unbelievably grateful for my life”.

About the sculpture This piece is one in a series that is about contrast and duality. The very solid, grounded and definite figure of the resin base gives support to the more ephemeral, complicated and less certain mobile structure. The two parts give sense and purpose to each other, perhaps in the way that two people might, or even in the way two facets of an individual personality might. About the artist Now living and working in Bath, Edward has a degree in philosophy from Bristol University and in his kinetic sculptures he explores ideas of fragility and strength as well as balance and resolution. Drawing inspiration from the natural world and the human figure, his work is often suggestive of botanical or skeletal structures. The elegant, fluid forms express a sense of harmony and rhythmic energy, coupled with a feeling of tranquil equilibrium.
Kinetic Study 20,

Crouch With this sculpture I wanted to convey points in our lives when we are defeated. This is shown in the pose of the figure falling to his knee and protecting himself, as he gathers his strength to rise again.

About the Artist Ian Marlow MRSS Ian is a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors. He works in stainless steel, bronze and glass to make both abstract and figurative work inspired by nature and natural forms, each one being characterised by a wonderfully dynamic strength. There is a bold freshness in the crisp stainless steel, yet the hardness of the metal appears lost and unnoticed in the flowing shapes he creates. The texture he adds to the stainless steel interacts with the light, making the sculpture’s surface change as you move around it, creating a transformation that is almost magical. He is invited to exhibit widely and undertakes a wide range of commissions from public, corporate and private clients.
