This sculpture derives its name from a tear shaped carving, enticing birds to use it as a perch when sited in the woods. The vibrant, colourfully veined stone is reminiscent of an outer galaxy inviting the viewer to look deep into the red, gold, black and white patterns contained within the stone.

  • Rise by Jeremy Moulsdale £3,100

    Rise by Jeremy Moulsdale £3,100

    Bronze resin

    Edition of 20

    146cm High

“I’ve called this piece ‘Rise’ to reflect the movement of the bird rising up and flying to new horizons, bringing inspiration and hope. I find it is so important for my wellbeing to spend time outside, to be lifted and inspired by nature. This sculpture is a reflection of watching the birds soaring in the sky and my heart being lifted by the birds. When I’m watching them, I get a sense for a moment that I am flying with the birds like we are partners in a dance. I wanted to reflect that in the sculpture.”  – Jeremy Moulsdale

  • Large Vases by Andrew Flint -£3,750 each

Large Vases by Andrew Flint -£3,750 each

    Large Ceramic Vases
    Various colours available

The typical dimensions are 145cm tall, diameter 45cms, base 30cms.

They are all hand built forms using the coiling method. They are twice fired, with the second firing taking them to stoneware temperature.

Each time I make, I work in series, developing glazes specifically for the series. In this series I developed a pallet of reactive painterly glazes that give varied results based on their thickness and method of application. They are named after the resulting colour pallet. I rent a studio in Warwick to do the making and firing, as I have a kiln there that is large enough to take the work, and plenty of space to move around the work while I am making. It’s my happy space, it has no neighbours so I can play blues and rock full blast while I make. I always feel there is something of the music I listen to in the final works.|

  • Are We Conscious by Jonty Hurwitz – £32,000

Are We Conscious by Jonty Hurwitz – £32,000

    Are we conscious?

    2017 | Bronze and Stainless Steel | 44 x 44 x 47 cm

As humans, we are cyclical creatures and form part of the rhythm of mother nature. Our bodies are deeply in tune with the ever-circular nature of seasons, elements and moo – in this way we are much the same as all animals, but unfortunately, not many of us realise this in our fast paced modern lives. Ironically, as a result, we have separated ourselves from animals, nature and of the many healing properties that come from immersing ourselves within nature.

The Dolphin of consciousness is all about tapping into something which is larger than ourselves. Spending time in nature, disconnecting from our screens and reaching out for the hand of connectivity back to earth. This is the gentle reminder and nudge we all need to slow down and tune in. To take a moment to acknowledge all that mother nature does for us.

“Consciousness is the state or quality of awareness or of being aware of an external object or something within oneself.”
    — Wikipedia

Meditation, animals and nature all have a similar effect on our central nervous system. When we’re in a meditative state we’re largely experiencing theta brain waves. Theta waves provide a positive mental state, encourage creativity, improve problem-solving skills and increase memory leaving you feeling calm, centred and balanced.

So what may look like a dolphin on first glance, is actually the hand in which connects us all; to each other and back to nature.
