“We Three Queens of Orient Are,” is a testament to the artist’s vision of creating a sanctuary for peace and serenity amidst the turmoil of the world. The Queens capture the enchanting beauty of the Eurasian Lynx and embody a sense of meditation and tranquillity.

At the centre of the sculpture stands the Queen herself, cast in Foundry Bronze using the Lost Wax Method. This traditional casting technique ensures the intricate details and fine craftsmanship of the sculpture. The central Queen is adorned with solid Bronze Tufts, adding to her regal appearance.

Flanking the central Queen are two other Queens, casting a trio that symbolizes Harmony, Wisdom, and Understanding, as derived from the philosophy of Pythagoras. These two surrounding Queens are cast in Bronze Resin also embellished with solid Bronze Tufts.

The Queens are elegantly displayed on individual marble square plinths, measuring 150mm x 150mm. To create a sense of serenity, when placed outdoors, they are elevated on sleek black 1250mm x 150mm x 150mm plinths arranged in a crescent shape, inviting contemplation and stillness.

The artist’s muse and inspiration for this grand sculpture is Petra, a magnificent 21-year-old Eurasian Lynx residing at the Big Cat Sanctuary in Kent, UK. Her beauty and grace have been captured with astounding accuracy, allowing viewers to connect with the spirit of these incredible creatures whilst acting as a reminder of the importance of protecting and appreciating the natural world.

In experiencing this trio of sculptures, one is enveloped in an atmosphere of peace, serenity, and oneness. The intricate details, the harmonious arrangement, and the symbolic narrative all come together to create a truly remarkable piece of art that transcends boundaries and invites contemplation.

    ‘The Kiss’

    White marble Jesmonite
    Wall-mounted

    John Williams:
Brancusi, Klimt, ManRay, Lautrec, Rodin, Picasso, Chagall, Magritte, Lichtenstein and even Banksy have their versions of one of modern arts most visited themes. This is my own take on ‘The Kiss’. Based on my wife’s lips. There are no other lips meeting hers. A strong, modern, independent woman unapologetic in her sexuality.

There seems to be a constant narrative in the mind. An incessant chitter chatter like machines. Time spent worrying about the future or reflecting on the past. Rather than focusing on the present moment which after all, is the only moment that truly exists other than in our minds.

This sculpture was made from the parts of time pieces and is meant to represent time wasted on our ‘internal dialogue’ at the expense of focusing on the present moment.
