My inspiration for this bronze edition of “turning horse head” was from the wonderful colour and ageless beauty of the Parthenon frieze. By finishing this sculpture in a verdigris patina, it is reminiscent of fifth century history and gives the horse a great sense of nobility and longevity.

The TWIN FLAMES sculpture represents two people who are deeply connected, sharing one soul that is embodied in their two bodies. They are intertwined, symbolizing the perfect balance between the two individuals as they complement and contrast each other perfectly. This sculpture reminds us of the importance of supporting each other while also respecting individuality. The two figures appear to be dancing together, their bodies in harmony as they move through life. It is a work of art that reflects the beauty and complexity of human relationships, and it serves as a reminder of the importance of finding balance in all aspects of life.

I have always loved cats, big and small… I am particularly enchanted by the Eurasian Lynx… their beautiful eyes and ears (with rather unique hair tufts), the shape of their heads, their stride… well, pretty much all of their gloriousness!
My personal muse for this sculpture was ‘Petra’, a stunning 21-year-old Eurasian Lynx who until very recently was under the dedicated care at the Big Cat Sanctuary in Kent, England. Sadly Petra passed early 2024, which was a huge loss. Although she led a long and healthy life. I hope this sculpture of Petra pays homage to her grace and magnificence whilst embodying meditation and tranquillity. RIP Petra.
Personally, I would love for this sculpture to also serve as a poignant reminder of the imperative need to protect and cherish the natural world.
Petra has been crafted both in Foundry Bronze, using the Lost Wax Method and the Cold Wax Method (Bronze Resin). Both adorned with handmade Solid Bronze Tufts.

Suzie sculpts in clay before firing it to stoneware to give a suitable medium for the foundry to work from. The hot bronze casting technique is unsurpassed in it’s quality, bring the sculpture to life the way no other medium can. Nelson the Seal was Suzie’s first public commission in bronze. Foundry Bronze sculptures are suitable for house and garden.

The KORU (Māori for “loop” or “coil”) holds deep significance and meaning in Māori culture in New Zealand (Aotearoa) with it’s spiral shape based on the appearance of a new unfurling silver fern frond.
New Life, Growth, Strength & Peace
Its shape conveys the idea of perpetual movement while the inner coil suggests returning to the point of origin.
TOTEM RAM
The Ram embodies determination, power, and leadership. Unafraid of failure, it sees it as a path to greater things. Taking charge of your own life inspires others to step out of their comfort zones and embrace life with courage.
Strength & Courage
Be True to Yourself
The horns on Totem Ram signify the KORU, hence the perfect juxtaposition of the two.
RED
The colour red in Asia is auspicious, associated with life-generating energy (the sun, blood, and fire) and is the colour of celebrations and prosperity. It is also the colour of the blossom of the Pōhutukawa Tree (also known as the New Zealand Christmas tree as it blossoms in December).
